The specific objectives of the consultancy are;
a) Map and collate country-level parameter estimates as guided by the IPV tailored model (official and other sources)
b) Apply other techniques for addressing missing data (e.g obtain expert opinion through key informant interviews) and propose parameter estimates.
c) Document country-level data related to current financing and commitments to end gender based violence

Major Activities/Expected Deliverables
1. Inception Report outlining detailed methodology, approach, and work plan.
2. Draft data collation report including both parameter estimates and costing data, disaggregated by official and alternative source.
3. Final and approved data mapping report.

The assignment shall not exceed a period of 25 working days spread across 2 months (payment will only be towards the 25 working days)

1 Consultative meeting with UNFPA -1day
2 Literature review, key informant interviews and data collation -20 days
3 Finalisation of data mapping report -4days
TOTAL 25 days

The consultancy will run from June 27, 2022 to August 30, 2022

 

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and competencies;
a) An advanced degree in Health Economics, Economics, Statistics, Demography or related fields.
b) At least 5 years of progressive experience conducting analytical work including statistical analyses, econometrics and/or economic evaluations
c) Experience of working effectively with civil society and diverse partners an asset
d) Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work in team
