Under the direct guidance and supervision of the UNFPA Assistant Representative, Youth Specialist ensures the effective management of UNFPA interventions in the areas of Adolescents and youth Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, Family Planning, youth development and empowerment. S/he provides technical assistance in policy and national development frameworks formulation and implementation. The Youth Specialist will provide support for the planning, monitoring and evaluation of Government of Botswana/UNFPA Country Programme implemented in collaboration with the government and civil society partners.
Qualifications and experience
Education:
Advanced degree in Public Health, Sociology, Public Policy and/or other related social science field.
Knowledge and Experience:
At least five years experience developing policies and national frameworks for adolescents and young people
At least five years experience designing and managing SRHR Programmes for young people and adolescents
At least five years experience managing Family Planing Programmes at policy level.
